Have pieces of fabrics all over your workroom & don't know what to do with them?
Turn them into your own applique work with beautiful embroidery. It's quite time taking but the results are great!
You'll never throw away waste fabric ever.


Pick out your desired fabric pieces - texture, color, and so on.
Here, white cotton pieces of the same texture was used for this project.

Choose your desired color and design for your embroidery.
Start your embroidery on each of the pieces.
Tips: work on the center of the pieces. You can add details during the pre-finish stage.
Sew the pieces together using your desired type of stitch.
Tips: work in a flat working space. Place your embroidered pieces flat and stitch them up together

Cut them into your desired shape - Square or Circle.
Add few more embroidery designs in-between spaces.
Add few layers of fabric for volume and conceal the edge with a blanket stitch.
Tips: avoid bulky stitches and use more of flat stitches for tea coaster to prevent tea from

And there you go! Your new D.I.Y embroidered coasters are ready to be used.
